Parties, galas, fêtes, trips: a memory for the whole team

In an association, the people who do the most are the ones with the fewest photos: they were behind the stall, serving, at the till.

With the wall, everyone sends what they see from their side of the party. The memory is built by many hands, and nobody has to be “the photographer”.

The photos also serve afterwards: the newsletter, next year’s poster, the thank-you note to volunteers.

A day at the village fête

From setting up the stalls to clearing away, how the wall follows the day.

  1. Morning

    Setting up

Volunteers put up the stalls. A small poster with the QR code goes on the entrance: the first photos are of the team at work.

  2. Noon

    The shared meal

A screen near the refreshments is a place people come back to: they look for themselves on the wall, find each other, send a photo of the next table.

  3. Afternoon

    Stalls and games

Children play, parents take photos, and photos of the stalls give ideas to those who have not been round yet.

  4. Raffle

    The draw

The winners’ faces, the surprise of the top prize: often the most photographed moment of the day.

  5. Evening

    Clearing away

Photos of tired, happy volunteers. They are not the least beautiful ones.

  6. The week after

    A gallery for everyone

A link in the newsletter or the group chat: everyone finds the photos of the day.

One occasion, one use

The same wall, depending on what your association is celebrating.

  • The general meeting

While members take their seats, the screen shows the QR code and the first photos: everyone can send theirs as soon as they arrive.

  • The gala or the dinner dance

An evening like any other: mosaic or collage, 15-second videos for the dance floor.

  • The trip or the outing

On the coach or on the way back: each traveller sends their photos, and the shared gallery gathers them all.

  • The open day

A QR code at the entrance for visitors, and your volunteers watch the photos scroll by through the day.

Free, ad-free, free software

A project made so that photos stay with the people who took them.

  • Free: access to our hosted service costs nothing, and is by invitation.

  • No advertising, and your photos are never sold.

  • Free software: the code is public, anyone can check it, and an association comfortable with servers can host it itself.

  • Hosted in France, by OVHcloud.

  • A project to support: donations are planned, they are not open yet. Support the project.

Easy for every age

An association brings very different people together: the wall has to work for everyone.

  • No app, no account

Scan, pick a photo, send. The first name is optional, and there is nothing to remember.

  • A volunteer to show how

A volunteer at the entrance can show the gesture to those who hesitate: a few seconds are enough, and they will show someone else in turn.

  • A code for latecomers

A six-character code shows in a corner of the wall: you can join without scanning.

  • The village hall and its Wi-Fi

The network is sometimes weak. Uploads wait on the phone and go out by themselves; the wall keeps playing the photos it has already received.

  • Several languages

French, English, German, Spanish and Italian: useful when your members do not all speak the same one.

Respecting your participants

An association brings together children, families and people who may not all want to be photographed. Nothing appears on screen without your approval: give moderation to two volunteers who take turns.

GPS position and device data are removed from every photo on arrival. Before their first photo, each participant reads what happens to their uploads: who sees them, how long they are kept, how to have them removed.

Do tell your members in advance: on the invitation, with a sign at the entrance. This is general advice; on image rights, it is not legal advice.

One gesture to publish, one to decline.

Missions to match the occasion

A list of challenges on participants’ phones: a way to show what your association does, through their eyes.

Go for heart rather than performance: “a thank-you to a volunteer” makes more beautiful photos than a contest.

Association missions

  • A thank-you to a volunteer
  • The prettiest stall
  • Three generations in one photo
  • The family photo in front of the banner
  • The cake before it disappears

A gallery for your members

After the party, create a shared gallery and put the link in the newsletter, the group chat or the association’s website. The photos are in full resolution, to download one by one or as a ZIP file.

The link expires on the date you choose. For a gallery reserved for members, add a password and share it with members separately.

Questions from associations

All questions

Is it really free?

Access to our hosted service is free and by invitation. Donations to the project are planned and not open yet. Request access.

Can our association install it itself?

Yes: the software is free. If one of your volunteers is comfortable with servers, the installation page explains how.

What happens to our members’ photos?

They are hosted in France, by OVHcloud, with no advertising and no resale. You can schedule their automatic deletion and make the shared gallery expire.

Should we tell participants?

It is good practice: a sentence on the invitation or a sign at the entrance. Participants also read on their phones what will happen to their photos before sending one. This is general advice, not legal advice.

Another occasion?

Each occasion has its own advice.
